CAAAV Member Speaks to Attendees at Kum Nam Kim Demonstration
Title
CAAAV Member Speaks to Attendees at Kum Nam Kim Demonstration
Description
A CAAAV member—whose back is turned away from the camera—speaks to a group of three people and hands one of them an illegible pamphlet, which may have detailed information about CAAAV and the organization's campaigns. This photo was captured at a CAAAV demonstration organized to demand justice and police accountability for Kum Nam Kim, a Korean street vendor on the Upper West Side who was beaten and arrested by police on August 3, 1993, after protesting an unfair parking ticket.[1]
