Taxi driver participating in Lease Drivers Coalition demonstration
Title
Taxi driver participating in Lease Drivers Coalition demonstration
Description
A yellow taxi cab drives on a street as part of a large mobile protest led by the Lease Drivers Coalition. The cab displays a sign on the windshield, and another sign on the front of the car which reads, "Stop Police Harassment."
The demonstration consisted of a massive procession of yellow cabs along Broadway to protest the intensified regulatory actions of the Giuliani administration. Drivers voiced concerns over escalating fines and harassment by law enforcement, including the targeting and ticketing of drivers.
