The fundraiser event was sold-out, and took place at the Public Theater in New York City. It featured performances by drumming and dancing groups from different communities including Soh Daiko (Japanese), Djembe Ensemble (West African), Umuncha (Korean), Kindig Sindaw (Filipina), M.A.D. Rumberos (Latin), La Troupe Makandal (Afro-Haitian), and Silvercloud Singers (Native American).
