Title
Protestors at Demonstration for Saleem Osman
Description
Pictured are protestors marching with signs and drums at a demonstration for taxicab driver and CAAAV organizer for the Lease Drivers Coalition, Saleem Osman. Two protestors are holding signs close to their bodies, another has an arm raised straight up, and another is banging a drum.
Osman was arrested on false charges of assaulting two police officers and resisting arrest after suffering at the hands of police brutality on May 26, 1994. The protest took place the day after and over 100 Asian Americans and taxicab drivers organized and marched from Police Plaza to Central Booking [1].
