Title
"Woman describes police attack at June 2 community meeting" on police brutality
Description
Five participants in a community meeting on police brutality sit in chairs, in front of two signs in Chinese characters, and one sign in English that reads “Let’s Respect ALL in N.Y.C.” From left to right, one man sits wearing an earpiece for translation, one woman sits with her legs crossed looking at the speaker to her right, the next woman is looking down, the third woman is speaking and gesturing with notes in her hand, and the man to the far right has his arms crossed. The woman speaking is identified on page 6 of the CAAAV Voice issue Summer 1996 as describing a police attack at the meeting co-sponsored by Coalition for the Advancement of Police Accountability. [1] The person standing behind the seated participants is taking notes.
