Performers at CAAAV's "The Rhythm is Ours!" fundraiser

This black and white photograph depicts performers on-stage at a sold out CAAAV fundraiser, "The Rhythm is Ours!", at the Public Theater. The benefit featured performances by drumming groups that represented a wide range of New York ethnic communities. The members of Umuncha (Korean) gather at the front of the stage, while Soh Daiko (Japanese), Kinding Sindaw (Filipino) and La Troupe Makandal (Haitain) stand towards the back.
