Protest Against Police Beating of Korean Student Yong Kook Ou
Title
Protest Against Police Beating of Korean Student Yong Kook Ou
Description
Protesters gather at the 17th precinct police station in Manhattan East Side to protest the police beating of 20-year-old Korean student Yong Kook Ou. Weeks earlier Ou was pulled from his bike and arrested for riding against traffic and severely beaten in front of dozens of witnesses. Here, protestors, holding signs in English and Korean, demand the dismissal of officers Anthony Venturella and John Giglia and the court case against Ou to be dropped. This protest was organized by KAAAV (Koreans Against Anti-Asian Violence) and CAAAV.
