Title
Speaker at Women Workers Project's month-long course for Asian domestic workers
Description
Photos depict a speaker presenting at a meeting of the Asian Women's Leadership and Health Advocacy Course, a month-long course held at Hunter College for Asian domestic workers. The program, launched by WWP in October 2001, continued to run twice a year, involving alumna in planning and facilitation.
"Build power of base," "Unite allies," and "Weaken target" is written on the chalkboard behind the speaker. Also visible is "Goal: Standard Contract." In 2000, WWP began its campaign for an industry-wide standard contract for all domestic workers. See the Fall 2000 issue of CAAAV Voice for more on this campaign.
